    The local government sector has continuously been my profession, area of specialist knowledge and academic engagement since January 1964. My skills have been honed as an employee primarily in senior management positions for 24 years, and as an elected local government councillor from 1991 to 2012.

    In late 2015, I was appointed by the State Government to undertake four local government merger inquiry processes as a Delegate.

    In May 2016 I was appointed Administrator of the merged Armidale Regional Council until first Council elections on 9 September 2017.

    It was humbling and enervating to be first elected to the Council. Thank you to all those folk who voted for me. I look forward to working with the new Councillors to provide best quality local government for Armidale and its special region. 

    I have 54 years local government experience, was first Mayor of the merged Clarence Valley Council from 2005 to 2008 and have a wealth of local government experience to offer the community.
