As a post-doctoral adjunct research fellow since 2011, recently extended to 2022, and attached to the School of Business at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, I engage in local government research. My particular focus is on council mergers and reform of Australian local government.
I have been a member of the Centre for Local Government at the University since 2002.
In October 2015 Federation Press published a book co-edited by Professor Brian Dollery of UNE Armidale and myself. The book is titled "Perspective son Australian Local Government Reform" and has twelve Chapter contributors.
I am presently planning and writing a book with the working title "New South Wales Local Government Reform 2011-2017" and have plans to write further books on local government in the future.
